What the competition asks for
Make a short video, using AI video generation, that teaches something about AI or data.
The organisers' framing: "when production is easy, most outputs look the same. So we're testing for the one
thing AI can't do for you: taste."

The judging rubric — 20 points
- Clarity of explanation (6) — "Does a viewer with no prior context actually understand the concept
after watching?"
- Video quality & production (6) — "How well-executed is the AI-generated video itself?"
- Creativity & originality (6) — "Is the concept communicated in a memorable, inventive way,
rather than a generic talking-head or stock-style explainer?" Credit for a distinctive visual style,
metaphor or narrative device that makes the concept stick.
- Effective use of AI generation (2) — "Does the entry use the medium well, rather than bolting AI
video onto something that could have been a slideshow?"
When you comment, please name the rubric point you mean. "Creativity: the knob gag landed,
but clarity suffered — I didn't know what temperature was until 20 seconds in" is worth ten times more to me than
"nice video".
Every film here begins with DataCamp's intro clip. In these cuts it is a stand-in copy pulled from
an earlier upload; the submitted film will carry the original, unmodified.
